A new start this 2017

It’s been about 5 months since I last posted something here on the blog. Back then, I was really swamped with all the school work given to me, and combined with all the extracurricular activities I did these past few months, I started to somewhat neglect my blog. It isn’t really a bad thing to be focusing on other responsibilities and priorities, but that resulted in the stagnation of my blog.

In August of 2016, I left my blog behind. Back then, I didn’t really know what to do with it yet. I didn’t want it to get stuck as a movie review blog, but at the same time, I also didn’t know what to do. Now that it’s 2017, I’m looking forward to a new start for this blog, and this time, I’ll be putting all the effort I can into making awesome content for the blog, and redeveloping it into something much better, better than it was supposed to be.

My Reel Thoughts started as a venue in which I could express my thoughts on movies, but now, I’m planning something very different. I won’t just be reviewing movies from now on, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the whole movie experience. Most movie blogs and websites focus on the films, but what I want to do here is to put the spotlight on where we see these movies – the cinemas, the movie theaters where we see these films we love so much.

From this week onwards, aside from the movies I review, I will (try my best) to review 1 cinema/theater per week, and I’ll be sharing my experiences in these cinemas with you, from the audio and video quality, to the comfort levels and cleanliness of the seats. Hopefully, it’ll also serve as a guide for you guys whenever you watch a movie and decide where to watch.

This week, I’ll be posting a review for Uptown Mall’s VIP Cinemas, and Ayala Malls The 30th’s brand-new cinemas. I’ll also be posting reviews for Passengers, and La La Land (which I loved so much :D).

This new year is the year for a new start here in My Reel Thoughts, and I hope you’ll join this journey with me.
