Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson
It’s been about 14 years since the last Jurassic Park movie, and a lot of people (including myself) have set their expectations high for this new movie. Gladly, I was not disappointed. Jurassic World isn’t as exciting as the first Jurassic Park film, but it’s still a pretty good time in the cinema.
Most of the action is reliant on computer-generated dinosaurs, and while the CGI was OK, I still kind of prefer the rougher, more realistic approach in the original movies. The plot isn’t really that interesting, as it doesn’t really offer anything new. Chris Pratt proves how big of a star he is today, excellently showcasing his versatility in terms of acting. He definitely has that undeniable charm that gets everyone swooning. I liked most of the supporting characters, especially Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Larry (Jake Johnson), but don’t get me started on the brothers. I could care less about them.
Jurassic World is an enjoyable adventure worth seeing in IMAX/3D, but I still prefer Jurassic Park, though. Recommendable if you wanna have a good time.
My Rating: 8/10
